Prestwich

Some weeks ago I made a cycling tour to Heaton Park, one of Europe's largest municipal parks, which is in my neighbourhood. The weather was just perfect!

Poland Winter 2007

I finally found the photos of my trip to Szczecin, Poland over Christmas 2007. These photos could only be taken because a big Christmas dinner forced us to go outside for a walk at a nearby lake. The lake is called Głembokie (engl.: deep). Since I was a child we always used to go for a walk there.

Chinese New Year

Since living here in Manchester I attended 2 Chinese new year celebrations. The first one in 2007 was the best maybe because these kind of celebrations are not celebrated in public by the Chinese community in Germany. Therefore it was so interesting. There are always many food and souvenir stands.

On the way to Manchester

These photos were taken during my move from Germany to Manchester in September 2006. The car was stuffed with my belongings (nearly my whole room, a plant and a bicycle).
After the 1 1/2 hour ferry drive to Dover we made a break at the white cliffs of Dover. We left the motorway and had to go through a narrow tunnel leading to a platform with a beautiful view over the cliffs...

A trip to Hannover

Before we moved to Manchester 2 years ago we made a short day trip to Hannover. It is a very nice city with a Japanese garden and a very nice tea store which is of interest for me.

My First Time in Manchester

My first trip to Manchester in November 2005 was due to an interview which I had to give, being a part of my application to the Uni of Manchester.

My doggy wanted to come with me...

Germany Winter 2007

On our way to Poland to spend Christmas with our relatives we took several breaks. No wonder, the trip to Poland usually takes 8 hours, therefore my Dad, who drove the car, needed some break...However, we never use guest houses at the motorway - instead we prefer woody places where no one else is.
I had no problems with taking a break after seeing this beautiful winter wonderland scenery. These photos were taken in East Germany...

Dziwnówek

I've found some photos from our trip to Poland over Christmas 2006. I visited my relatives in Poland. On December 25th we made a trip to Dziwnówek, a town at the Baltic coast, which is just 100km from Szczecin (where my relatives live).
The atmosphere at the ocean was marvellous. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it to the ocean last year.

After a time there was no living soul in front of us.

Capbreton
Finally by going further south the weather became warmer and sunnier. Unfortunately, we couldn't swim in the marvellous ocean because the waves were life-threatening huge. *sigh*

Mimizan Plage

Unfortunately, the weather was bad over the whole week.
One day we decided to take a walk along the beach and so we ended up walking about 4 hours.

looking to our right. You can still see our footsteps in the sand. We were the only ones at the beach. No living soul behind and infront of us. Quel atmosphère manifique.
